Walk & Talk Coffee is this Friday, 28 August, and we’ve only got a few spots left before we’re at capacity.

Here’s what to expect:

☕ 10am — Meet at Saluti Cafe for your free coffee

10:30am — Walk the track right beside the cafe (easy flat option OR hill walk with amazing views, you choose!)

11am — Back for morning tea

12pm — Wrap up

No pressure, no pace to keep up with, just fresh air, good coffee, and a community that gets it.

Stroller-friendly. Water provided. Just bring comfy shoes and a smile.

He scribbled some notes, handed me a piece of paper, and that was it.

No roadmap. No one to call. Just “good luck.”

I didn’t need another appointment. I needed someone who got it.

So in 2019, I started a small group. Just carers, talking. No agenda, no pressure, just people who understood, which was more than I’d found anywhere else.

That became Help You Cope. Now entering our 8th year.

And now, something new: Caring for the Carers.

Today we’re saying a huge thank you to Diana 🩷

For the past year and a half, Diana has been the one behind the camera, capturing our events, our carers, our community moments, and spending countless hours editing it all into the beautiful content you see on this page.

But Diana didn’t just take photos. She told our story. She helped carers feel seen, turned everyday moments into something meaningful, and shared the heart of Help You Cope with more people than we can count.

Diana is heading off to focus on her studies and her own next steps, and we couldn’t be prouder of her for it.

This isn’t goodbye, it’s just a change of role. Instead of being behind the lens, we’re so happy she’ll get to be on the other side of it now, showing up to our events as part of the community she’s helped build, soaking up the support herself instead of just capturing it for everyone else.

We’ve relied on her completely, and we’ve loved every one of the many hours we’ve spent together.

Diana, thank you for everything. You’ve poured so much into this role, and you will genuinely be missed behind the scenes. But we’re so happy this is a “see you soon” we can’t wait to spot you at our events whenever you can make it along.

Our community and our presence is better because of you. 🩷

One morning a month, just for you. No agenda. No pressure. No expectations, just tea, coffee, and people who genuinely get it.

Talk, listen, or just sit quietly. However you need to show up is enough.

A local soccer club just blew us away.

The legends at @stclairunited_sc ran a community cake stall to support carers of children with additional needs… and raised an incredible $1,659 for Help You Cope. 😭

Families baked & donated sweets. And the St Clair community paid BIG for cupcakes because they knew every dollar was going to carers who give everything for their kids. We are honestly gobsmacked. 🥹

To the club, thank you for choosing us. You didn’t have to, and you did. That’s what community looks like.

Here’s why this means so much. There was a time when our founder was funding carer support out of her own pocket, because our carers needed it, full stop. Today, because of generosity like this, we can do SO much more: support groups, workshops, wellbeing programs, and events that remind carers they’re never alone.
Every cupcake sold = a carer supported.

If Sunday Mass feels impossible, too packed, too loud, too overwhelming for your child…this one’s for you. 🤍

Ss Peter and Paul Parish runs a special Accessible Mass for families with additional needs, and we’re honoured to help spread the word.

Our last one was something special. Families relaxed. Kids were free to be themselves. Parents got a rare chance to sit, breathe, and actually enjoy Mass. No worry. No judgment.

Sometimes self care is a peaceful walk, getting lost in a good book, catching up with friends...And sometimes it's your third coffee of the day because you're doing your best. ☕😂

If you're a carer, you know that self care doesn't always look picture perfect. It might be five quiet minutes, a laugh with people who understand, or simply taking a moment to refill your own cup before pouring into everyone else.

Whatever it looks like for you, remember this: you matter too. Looking after yourself isn't selfish, it's essential.

Because while we're busy caring for everyone else, we deserve to be cared for too. 🩷

With the NDIS continuing to evolve, many families are feeling uncertain about what the changes could mean for them. If you’ve been hearing different things and aren’t sure what to believe, this session is for you.

Join Frances Minotte, Senior Consultant and Director at @roundsquared_ltd, as she shares practical information about the NDIS changes, what we know so far, and how they may impact participants and their support networks.

Frances has extensive experience working alongside NDIS participants and families and is passionate about helping people better understand the system so they can make informed decisions with confidence.

During the session, you’ll have the opportunity to:
